Let It Go, Let It Go! The Famous Frozen Characters: Queen Elsa

Everyone is still in love with the greatest animated movie of 2013, FROZEN.
Hang over here, hang over there, hang over everywhere! This movie captured the hearts of many because of its amazing visual effects and good story line. Frozen told us that True Love's the only way to thaw a frozen heart. Well, we all thought that it's still the typical "girl meets boy, fell in love and they all lived happily ever after" story. This movie told us that sisterly love could be another act of True Love.

With that great story and unexpected twists, I got inspired. So inspired that it made me go back and love drawing again.

In the next blog entries, I will show you how I drew the 3 most famous Frozen characters and I'll also give you some pieces of advice on how to draw them. Enjoy!

I first drew Queen Elsa for she was the most famous of the three which I'm going to draw.

To draw the eyes, I first sketched thin lines then put her pupils, eye lashes and light shadows for her eye shadow just so I had a guide. Elsa's got strong eyes and stare so don't forget to make it that way.

When you're done with the eyes, add the brows.
Outline or sketch a thin line of brows for guidance. You can do it a bit realistic by doing light strokes from the bottom up and then top top bottom of your outline.
In this step, you can also sketch the shape of her hair and face.

This is what it'll look like.

To put body on her hair, draw strands of lines following the shape of the sketch you made for her hair. With this, you can see the style and the direction of her weaves.

Add the ice flower accessories on her hair and the beaded details on her dress.
(Tip: Always make sure that your pencil is sharp for fine or small details.)

Busy busy busy...

Put definition on her eyes by darkening her eye shadow and eye lashes. Soften the inner parts by smudging the dark outer parts with your finger. This will create the effect of having smokey eyes.

For the lipstick, just repeat the step above with the eyes.

This is the finished product!

Showin' Some LOVE

It sure was a sweet and colorful day!

Yes, the Day of the Hearts is one of the most awaited day of the year (taken or not taken, I think.). This day showcases a lot of sweet gestures from lovers, admirers, friends and families. Heart's Day or famously known as Valentine's Day is a day to show love to those you truly treasure. In this day, roads are covered with cars, streets are occupied with teddy bear vendors, and parks are full of couples with roses on their hands. Well, I'm not much for being cheesy but I had a date that day so I've decided to look simple yet lovable on that day.

My boyfriend and I had lunch at SM North EDSA. Honestly, I wasn't expecting heavy traffic that morning on my way to the mall. But surprisingly, the roads going to the  mall were completely full of cars and another thing that surprised me is that the mall is already full of people. It was morning and the mall just opened! Well, I guess it really was because of Valentine's Day. After our lunch, we walked on the Sky Garden and enjoyed our time.

These triangles were pretty cute and I had fun in them.:)

Step out and enjoy the Sun's Love!

Imagine..

As you can see, I didn't go for the formal or itchy Sunday clothes for Valentine's Day. I wore clothes that looked great on me and would enhance the honey glow on my cheeks.

There's always something good in the city life!

Blushing with this sweet act of love...

My top was a white sheer sleeveless blouse that went well with my aztec-print shorts.

The cup has got my name on it... What a beautiful name.:)

I wore gold earrings and my heart bracelet and I paired them with my glittery gold and nude flats to keep me comfortable yet stylish as we roamed around the mall.

The wall paintings around the Sky Dome was also amusing. It added a huge happy factor and a colorful, bright sight on that special day. Also, I remembered my high school best friend's paintings and drawings when I saw them.

Color your day with a smile and a splash of art!

Close your eyes and feel love in the air...

Before I forget, that cute thing hanging on my shoulder is my boyfriend's gift to me last Christmas. It was exactly what I wanted and it was the perfect color for the day!

A good dose of coffee with a rose on the side.

 Coz we're the PERFECT TWO.

Who wouldn't fall with that sweet smile?

No day would be complete without a good dose of Starbucks and sweet scent of deep red rose from the guy up there.:)

You know, Valentine's Day is just like any other day. Yah, we should express love everyday but the Heart's Day requires extra love and affection. More love, more fun and it will add more years to your life!:)
I hope you enjoyed your Valentine's Day with or without a date because it really isn't about the amount of roses and chocolates you've eaten. It's all about the love and appreciation you've received from everyone!

Philosophy Store VIP Launch

Last February 11, 2014, I received a message from SM Mega Mall. It said that I won their Philosophy Promo and I get the chance to one of their VIP guests. With shock, I called my mom and told her the news. I get to bring plus 1 so I told my mom to go with me because the other people I asked couldn't come. I got up, prepared my chic outfit and went to the launch.

The launch took place at the SM MegaMall Fashion Hall, the new building of MegaMall for Global Fashion Brands. The place's really exquisite and welcoming. You can also see new stores which aren't present in all SM Stores. I'm telling you, once all the stores open, this place will be a Fashionista's dream!

My mom and I arrived exactly 4 in the afternoon just in time for the program to start. One of the organizers congratulated me and brought to the actual store to claim my prize.

The inspiring pathway to the store. It's way cooler than a red carpet!:)

The moment I entered the store, I already saw a wide array of their products. It really was great to be the first one to enter it.

This table showcases Philosophy's top-selling products

A tub full of Philosophy goodness. I just want to dive in their!

They have a room where you can ask their experts to put the product on your skin.
Their walls are designed with words that would uplift, inspire and empower everyone.
I was very excited to claim my prize!
I filled up my first Philosophy card

A photo with my mom and the Philosophy ladies.

Got my Prize!:)

Okay, Philosophy will tell you something about the Philosophy store.

Philosophy was founded in the USA in 1996 by Cristina Carolino, a cosmetic industry visionary, with over 30 yearsexperience in clinical skin care and beauty. The first company Cristina founded was Biomedic, a medically-based skin care line distributed to the world's leading plastic surgeons and dermatologists from Biomedic, Cristina expanded her inspirational vision to create Philosophy, her goal was to bridge the gap between what was offered in doctors' offices and retail, so women everywhere could personally access leading skin care technologies.

Guests arrived and the program officially started at around 5pm.

The first one to introduce Philosophy was Mr. Warwick Jenkin, the Regional Vice President of Asia Pacific at Coty Prestige. He told us a brief introduction about Philosophy.

The second to introduce was Ms. Robin White, the World Brand Ambassador, Director, Global Press at Philosophy. She told us more about the product, its background and history.

Our tables were filled with Philosophy's top products.

Ms. Robin gave us a demonstration on how to use some of their products and we all had the chance to use them.

As you can see, all their products are labelled and designed with words of inspiration.

Well, no launch will be complete without food, right? Here are some of them.

Everyone was ready so it was time to visit and officially open the Philosophy Store, the largest store in the world!

Cheers to the new Philosophy Store!

Guests are eager to check out the products!

I also had the opoortunity to have picture with one of the most down to earth successful people I know. It was really nice to have met you and I had fun chatting with you! Also, thank you for showing me how to use Philosophy's products!

It really was an awesome experience and it was a great early Valentine's and Birthday gift!:)
