The Fault In Our Stars

An excerpt from the book

(Forever 21 Dress and Belt, Parisian Pumps)
Photographed by my nephew, Sean Rafael A. Villa

The book everyone (?) is talking about.. The Fault In Our Stars!
Okay, so I just gotta tell you my thoughts about the book. Obviously, it's written by John Green whom I think is a genius. He captures the hearts and souls of millions with this one of a kind book. It's not your typical goo-goo eyes, kissy kiss love story. It's a story of two people experiencing pain's toughness and life's unexpectedly expected truth. Well, I really don't want to tell the whole story here because I'd spoil other people's reading. If you don't plan to read the book, then you miss half of your life's purpose! I want to excite you and motivate you to read the book. Look what it did to me! I actually bought that Forever 21 dress as stated in the book!!! That's how addicting and inspiring the plot is.

I haven't watched the movie yet because I don't want to ruin my TFIOS experience just yet. I'm still collecting feedback from my friends whether the movie is as good as the book.

So go out and get a copy of the book and see what it can do to change your view of Love that will overcome all obstacles.
Don't just read it.
Embrace it.

Thesis Class-y Day

(Forever 21, So Fab, SM Accessories, HerBench, Parfois)
Photographed by Mr. Rolando Garcia

So after a couple of weeks, my blog is up and running again! I'm sorry for keeping y'all waiting and settling for other blogs to read. We just moved in to our new house which means that the internet connection and everything had to wait for days. And, I got very busy at school but now, everything's back to normal.:)

This entry is about my first weeks in school. Well, it has been good but not very good. Ups and downs arrived already but you know, it's part of school and it's part of life. I've been busy doing some major editing for our thesis, attended seniors' orientation for our new curriculum and studying and working around Asia for our senior year.
I've decided to wear this colorful and playful outfit for our 4 hours of Thesis class. It's a bit up the top for school (I think) but you know, it's always best to stand out, feel great and look great for just about anything.:) By the way, the cute pouch's a gift from my honey!

If your school doesn't really require you to wear uniform, go and explore your closet! You'll never know what treasure you'll see in there!

First Day of my Last Year in College

Summer's over, School starts!

Top from Shopaholic, Flats from Parisian, Bag from Secosana, Watch from Caite, and Earrings and Nail polish from Forever 21
Photographed by Mr. Jan Michael Baay

Yesterday was the first day of my last year in College. By the way, I'm taking up Bachelor of Arts Major in English at Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Manila. It was Monday so I expected heavy traffic, everyone would be outside, cranky people because of the weather and thousands of students in school. Everything I expected were right! The roads are covered with countless vehicles filled with commuters from all walks of life.
It took me almost 2 hours to reach PUP (it's normal) and when I got there, ABS-CBN and GMA were there covering the first day of classes. PUP grounds were covered with students from freshmen to seniors! I really can't describe the sight!!!!
Well, enough with that. My first day was a bit tiring, boring but happy because I saw my classmates again after 2 months.
Since it was the first day of my last year in college, I decided to wear something cool and cute. Something that would stand up.

Windy day..

I matched blue with orange just to emphasize both colors. I didn't want to have too much blue or too much orange. That would be a total eye sore. I want my first day to be fun and colorful not dull or too simple like white and jeans so I let the Inner Fab in me take control and voila!

School doesn't have to be plain and dragging. I know it's gonna be a bit different now because of thesis defense which means sleepless nights, eye bags, haggard faces, hot heads, and dying wallets. But you know, it's actually gonna be fun if you'd look at it on the bright side. Just think that in a couple of months, we'll be walking the streets of Makati or Taguig or anywhere in a concrete jungle, sipping coffee, waiting for your pay, and thinking of how to spend it with ones you love.
Enjoy every single moment of college and make it like your high school days, you'll miss every bit of it.:)

Back to School Thoughts

(SM Accessories, Dress from Korea, Parisian Pumps)
Photographed by Jarwyn Gabana

Okay.. So I'll be back to school in 3 days and I still don't know what to wear for the first day. But it's not the topic of this entry. I'll blog about it to let you know how I dressed for my first day of mt last year in college (hopefully if I won't take my Masteral after graduation). Actually, I still can't believe that in 8-9 months, I'll be out of school, free from countless researches, handouts, homeworks, surprise quizzes, sleepless thesis nights, classroom drama, and unexpected recitations. Well, they're all part of the Student meets reality of school life. But honestly, I am excited (really?) to come to school after 2 months of vacation, fashion events, pictorials, skin burning activities, and tons of food trips with my honey.

Do you know what I like about school? School gives you the chance to know more about the things you already know and you thought you already know. School teaches you to be more independent (although sometimes, you copy your friend's assignment  because you forgot to do yours. Guilty? I know I am!hahahaha). Well now, do you know what I like about college? Aside from the extra freedom, you get to meet new friends and people who are very different from one another yet you still manage to stick together because somehow, you've change each others minds to blend in with yours which is actually cool.

Just a few more months and all my hardwork will pay off. I know that all the achievements, medals, trophies, and awards are just consolation prizes in my 17 years of education but I'll surely make my family more proud in the years to come!

I'll be back inside the classroom, sitting with my friends, reading and writing and listening more about English and the Philippine Constitution, and the most important of all, I'll get to enjoy every single moment (victory or defeat) of my last year in college.
